Regulatory compliance of household products

Before being marketed, household products must be registered with ECHA and notified to poison control centers. If you are planning to manufacture and market your own detergents, we can assist you with this project by evaluating, registering, and compiling your regulatory dossiers.

Laboratoires Lelégard provides you with support services for regulatory compliance and the marketing of your household products.

Validation of detergents for regulatory compliance - household products - CLP - UFI

Regulation of household products:

In Europe, detergents are subject to the requirements of Directive (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents, as well as the CLP Regulation and European Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH Regulation) concerning the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals.

Depending on the use of your product, its composition, and other parameters, compliance with several other regulatory texts may also be necessary.

Since 2021, the UFI (Unique Formula Identifier), a 16-character code, must appear on the label of products containing classified mixtures. A key element in ensuring your household products comply with regulations, it will enable you to provide accurate information on the composition of your products to regulatory authorities via a declaration associated with this number.
