Bei diesem Test werden mehrere Arten von Mikroorganismen \u2013 Bakterien, Hefen und Schimmelpilze \u2013 absichtlich direkt in die Formel eingebracht. Das Produkt wird anschlie\u00dfend mehrere Wochen lang beobachtet, um die F\u00e4higkeit des Konservierungsmittels zu bewerten, diese Mikroorganismen zu beseitigen oder ihre Vermehrung zu verhindern. Das Verfahren ist standardisiert und sowohl durch die europ\u00e4ische Verordnung (Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1223\/2009) als auch durch die Schweizer Kosmetikverordnung (KOSV\/SVOL) anerkannt, was es zu einem unverzichtbaren Test f\u00fcr die Markteinf\u00fchrung in der Schweiz und in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union macht.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>Der Challenge-Test bildet die tats\u00e4chlichen Anwendungsbedingungen nach. Bei jedem \u00d6ffnen der Flasche oder des Tiegels k\u00f6nnen geringe Mengen an Mikroorganismen von den Fingern, aus der Umgebungsluft oder aus der Anwendungsumgebung in die Formel gelangen. Durch die Simulation dieser wiederholten Kontaminationen kann mit dem Test \u00fcberpr\u00fcft werden, ob das Konservierungssystem das Produkt tats\u00e4chlich vor mikrobiellem Wachstum sch\u00fctzt.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>W\u00e4hrend des Beobachtungszeitraums werden in regelm\u00e4\u00dfigen Abst\u00e4nden Proben entnommen und mikrobiologisch analysiert. Wird keine Vermehrung festgestellt, gilt das Konservierungsmittel f\u00fcr die gesamte geplante Haltbarkeitsdauer des Produkts als wirksam. Das Vorhandensein von Kolonien deutet hingegen auf eine Unzul\u00e4nglichkeit des Konservierungssystems hin und erfordert eine Neuformulierung oder Anpassung der Konservierungskonzentration.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>Durch die Best\u00e4tigung, dass sich Mikroorganismen w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Haltbarkeitsdauer nicht vermehren k\u00f6nnen, garantiert der Challenge-Test, dass das Produkt auch nach mehreren Wochen oder Monaten der Verwendung gesund, stabil und sicher bleibt. Dieser Nachweis der mikrobiologischen Stabilit\u00e4t ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des <strong>Sicherheitsdossier<\/strong> erforderlich f\u00fcr die Bildung des <strong>DIP\/PIF<\/strong>.
